ED SHEERAN - THE LOOP TOUR 2026

The Next Stage are proud to share their involvement with this spectacular project.

Staying true to form of consistently touring impressive outdoor shows this latest tour sees a huge video screen forming the backdrop to the stage. With no traditional roof system the stage design uses a large steel structure backstage to support everything.

The Next Stage supplied the ‘Gondola’ structures that cover the steelwork and support the PA system.

These brushed aluminium clad pieces were gleaming in the Aukland sun. Made in modular sections that can suspend from the steel structure, significant amounts of lighting and SFX are built into the units to help towards an efficient load in and load out.

Next Stage decking system was utilised to supply a 12m Diameter staging ring “Donut” positioned around the main stage and accompanied by a smaller 6m diameter assembly. All decks finished with a durable, non-slip rubber flooring.

In a nostalgic sentimental nod to past projects Ed transitions from the show’s B-Stage located independently from the main stage via a telescoping bridge (supplied by Show Canada), the last time a show move similar to this was by the Rolling Stones of their “Bridges to Babylon” tour, build by some of our Next Stage staff when working at Brilliant Stages 30 years ago. It’s great to see this fantastic piece of stage engineering realised again.

As with all our projects, the assemblies were detailed, fabricated and test built in our Bedfordshire workshop.
